ALFI Switzerland (Zurich & Geneva) roadshow 2017

Dienstag, 28. November 2017

The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) is returning to Switzerland for its annual roadshow on 28 & 29 November this year - Hotel Marriott Zurich & Hotel Kempinski Geneva.

Morning presentations covering the most recent developments in cross-border investment fund distribution and innovative solutions in the alternative investments space will be followed by a series of practical workshops on the following themes:

UCITS Innovation

The UCITS vehicle is over 30 years old and considered “mature”. But features, structures and management techniques continue to evolve. This workshop will provide you with practical case studies of fund managers sharing their solutions for resolving business issues or seizing market opportunities, including the use of hedge-fund type strategies, through innovative structuring of their UCITS or management process.

Private Equity

The workshop will highlight the different tools and structures available in Luxembourg through the testimony of local GPs with experience in pre and post AIFMD. The session will also welcome the views of placement agents to guide the audience through today’s investor preferences and will conclude with a debate on the future of PE in Luxembourg.

40+ senior fund industry experts with a broad variety of professional backgrounds from both Luxembourg and Switzerland will update you on the most recent developments in cross-border investment fund distribution and innovative solutions in the alternative investments space. Four dedicated workshops will take place in the afternoon focusing on UCITS, Private Equity, Responsible Investing and Real Estate.

Responsible Investing

This session will have a close look at COP 23 and Climate financing as well as at recent regulatory and market developments in sustainable finance in Europe. Other themes to be discussed are the Roadmap towards a Sustainable Finance Centre in Luxembourg and the opportunities of SDGs in asset management.

Real Estate

Experts will walk you through a deep dive into the SIF, the RAIF and the Special Limited Partnerships: vehicle selection, setup process, sourcing capital, strategy and operations, administering and reporting.

Take the opportunity to engage with the ALFI community representing the second largest investment fund domicile in the world.
