The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) is returning to Switzerland for its annual roadshow on 13 & 14 November this year. 500+ fund professionals registered to attend last year’s event.

Fund industry experts with a broad variety of professional backgrounds from both Luxembourg and Switzerland will update you on the most recent developments in cross-border investment fund distribution and innovative solutions in the alternative investments space.

Luxembourg's Ambassador to Switzerland Jean-Claude Meyer welcomes the audience of ALFI day 2 in Zurich.

The morning panels and conferences will firstly review Brexit and delegation, ESG and the AIFMD/UCITS. Secondly they will cover Fast-forward asset management and finally cover "Cryptocurrencies, ICOs and blockchain" and "Artificial intelligence"

The morning session will be followed by practical workshops analyzing:

Regulatory Update

The workshop will highlight what Luxembourg has got to offer (PEPP, ESG and governance, distribution, KYC, etc.), cross-border distribution in view of Brexit and MiFID II and the role a Luxembourg ManCo may play in this context. In addition it will discuss the substance requirements for a Luxembourg ManCo and the New CSSF Circular 18/698.

Private Equity & Real Estate funds

This second workshop will give answers to questions why investor demand in alternatives is increasing and what managers are doing to satisfy this demand, all this in a luxembourgish context.

Responsible investing

The "responsible investing"-workshop will consider recent developments in sustainable finance, retail and institutional trends, how to integrate ESG factors in the investment process, if sustainability help to sell and the opportunities SDGs can offer asset managers

RAIF - Reserved Alternative Investment Funds

A last workshop will try to give answers to these following questions:
Whom is the RAIF targeted at?
What does it take and cost to set up a RAIF?
What can a RAIF invest in, and what type of investors is eligible for a RAIF?
 How does a RAIF compare to a SIF or an unregulated investment vehicle?
